The Last Oreo & Squeaker Post

   Hello guys. I am so sorry that I haven't had time to tell you this before today...I don't know how to say it. I just don't know!


I'm just going to say it: Oreo died from old age last week.

We knew that he was going to die soon, so we took him out of his cage with Squeaker-because Squeaker was fighting Oreo and hurting him-and put him in another. Oreo died four days after I took all of these pictures to remember him bye.

Oreo's full name was Oreo Chocolate Cookie. We will grieve for him and remember him always. He was the guinea pig that everyone loved in life. He licked your finger if you put it by his mouth. He was calm and gentle and sweet. He was soft and cuddly. He was everyone's favorite to hold because of his warm nature. He was the best guinea pig out of the three I have owned. He was so gentle and calm that I would take him out for all the little kids to pet. And he loved it. 

I am sad to say that in his last moments, we were not there for him. I had gone to swimming and the family had to pick me up. When we got home, we found Oreo's eyes closed and he was laying down. I've stayed strong-not cried, I mean-until I had to type this post out. I wish it was Spring, so we could have a proper burial like we had with Ginger(our other guinea pig), but the ground is too frozen to dig.

As for Squeaks, we are going to find a new home for him. We are done with the guinea pigs, for now anyway. As of right now, Squeaker is living alone in his cage, which I sadly report that he is enjoying being lonely, I guess. Maybe he was just born to be a loner.

Sarah's Questions:

1. Do you ever run out to get the mail? Yes I do!

2. Do you like cold or warm? I definitely like warm, but where I live, our winters are FREEZING!

3. Do you like playing around doing different do's with you hair, or are you the kind of person to keep it the same? Okay, here is the thing: I do play around with it for like half an hour every single morning, but then nothing works and I stick it in a bun. :) LOL

4. Have you ever wondered how many times you have said the same word in your life? Yes! I really wonder how many times I've said "I", "and", and (LOL!) "it".

5. Do you write? Yes I do!


6. What is your favorite thing to cook? The stir-fry recipe on the back on the Minute Rice box. ;)

7. If you were snowbound all winter, what would you do for activities/keeping warm? I would read a book and drink hot chocolate!


8. Are you a changing person, or a person who likes things to stay the same? I'm a changing person. :)

9. Do you like drawing your own drawings, or do you like using a coloring page? Well, I am horrible and drawings and I am not very creative, so I like drawing from a coloring book. LOL!

Ashley's Questions:

1. What is your favorite place to shop? Aeropostale. Did I spell it right???

2. What is your favorite thing to eat? Hmmmm...Aubrey's, because they have gluten-free pizza! Yum! Wait, did I tell you guys that I am allergic? :/ hmm...maybe not.

3. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? Um, I have no idea. I am perfectly content with my state. ;)

4. Do you like writing letters, or emailing the best? Well, this is hard for me, because with emailing they get the message quicker and stuff, and with writing the letter it seems more personal.

5. Do you have a favorite game? If so, what is it? Wait a second while I think about this.....Okay, it is Skip-Bo!

6. What's your favorite activity to do with your family? Playing a family game. :D Or watching a movie together.

7. Are you musical? If so, what instrument(s) do you play? I have been playing the piano for the past 6 years, and I have just started to play the flute this school year.

8. What is the last thing you memorized? Does it count that I am still memorizing it? Because if it does, then I am trying to memorize Pachelbel Canon on the piano for my Spring Recital. :D

9. What is your favorite book of the Bible, and why? My favorite book is Revelation, because it talks about the future and what is going to happen when it is literally the end of the world.

10. What do you want to be when you grow up? Okay, I have a serious dilemma here! I have no idea! I used to have everything planned, but it is like I lost my list and I don't even remember what I wrote on it. I'm afraid that I still won't have anything to do when I am older.

11. What are some of your hobbies? I LOVE to read, to fangirl, to knit, to bake, to swim, and also to blog. :D

12. Do you like to do different hairdos on your hair? Yes, but like in Sarah's questions, I never do! :/
